Колишнього політичного консультанта президента США Дональда Трампа Роджера Стоуна затримали та звинуватили за сімома пунктами у межах розслідування втручання Росії у вибори президента США у 2016 році.

Стоуна арештували у Флориді. Його справу розглядатиме суд у місті Форт-Лодердейл. Серед іншого, Стоуна звинувачують у фальсифікації свідчень та створенні перешкод у наданні правдивих свідчень іншою людиною.

Нагадаємо, спеціальний радник Роберт Мюллер розслідує ймовірну змову між Росією і президентською кампанією Трампа. Сам Трамп заперечує, що він або його оточення працювали з Росією, аби підвищити його рейтинги на президентських виборах 2016 року у США, і назває розслідування Мюллера "полюванням на відьом".

Наразі у межах розслідування Мюллера було пред'явлено звинувачення понад двом десяткам росіян, а також декільком людям, пов'язаним з Трампом - зокрема його колишньому раднику з нацбезпеки Майклу Флінну і екс-голові його виборчої кампанії Полу Манафорту.
