Російський вплив і дезінформаційні кампанії в ЄС становлять значну загрозу для чесності майбутніх виборів до Європарламенту. Про це заявив голова комітету із закордонних справ, оборони і безпеки сенату Чехії Павел Фішер,
повідомляє Euractive.
У комітеті вважають, що російське втручання не тільки ставить під загрозу вільне ухвалення рішень, а і є порушенням прав громадян ЄС.
Цей висновок комітету з'явився після викриття діяльності медіа Voice of Europe, проросійського українського політика Віктора Медведчука, яке поширювало російську пропаганду в ЄС і нещодавно було внесене до санкційного списку.
«Ця медіакомпанія намагалася впливати на публічні дебати в Чехії та інших країнах ЄС за гроші РФ, працювала проти інтересів Чеської Республіки і систематично поширювала російську пропаганду», - заявив Фішер.
Комітет також висловив стурбованість тим, що Словаччина надала міжнародний захист проросійському пропагандисту та топменеджеру каналу «112 Україна», який стоїть за «Голосом Європи», Артему Марчевському.
Сенатський комітет також нагадав про розслідування вибуху на складі боєприпасів у Врбетицях у 2014 році. Слідство вважає, що цю диверсію, яка призвела до загибелі двох чеських громадян, вчинили два офіцери російської військової розвідки, які, ймовірно, мали на меті зірвати постачання боєприпасів у регіони, де Росія проводила військові операції. Але відмова Росії від співпраці загальмувала поліцейське розслідування.
«Ми вважаємо терористичну атаку, здійснену російськими солдатами, які перебувають на дійсній службі на нашій території, грубим порушенням суверенітету і безпеки Чехії та актом ворожості, від якого Чехія мусить захищатися», - сказав Фішер.
