Прем'єр-міністр Румунії Людовик Орбан оголосив у п'ятницю після багатогодинної зустрічі з президентом Клаусом Йоганнісом, що вони вирішили розпочати процедури проведення дострокових парламентських виборів.

"Я це чітко кажу. Президент Румунії і я вирішили, що Румунії найкраще ініціювати дострокові вибори", - сказав прем'єр-міністр. 

Він повідомив, що створено робочу групу, яка вестиме переговори з партіями, щоб отримати їхню підтримку щодо процедури проведення позачергових виборів. 

Людовик Орбан пояснив, що румуни більше не хочуть, щоб Соціал-демократична партія була при владі, яка діє "як гальмо" в парламенті, і єдине рішення - організувати дострокові вибори якомога ближче до місцевих виборів, які мають відбутися в травні.

"Існує два рішення для запуску процедури, залежно від еволюції подій ми оберемо одне з двох рішень. Я вважаю за краще зараз не вступати в тактичні дискусії ", - сказав Орбан, голова Націонал-ліберальної партії (PNL).

Нагадаємо, Йоганніс переміг на виборах президента у листопаді і почав другий термін на посаді.
