У Росії за рішенням Генпрокуратури заблокований сайт Archive.Org, також відомий як Wayback Machine. Користувачі різних російських провайдерів на сайті "Роскомсвободи"повідомляють про відсутність доступу до ресурсу, який містить повний архів інтернету з 1996 року, передає ТСН

До Єдиного реєстру забороненої інформації сайт був внесений в понеділок на підставі рішення Генпрокуратури від 24 жовтня 2014 року. Архів інтернету працює на основі протоколу HTTPS. Це не дозволяє обмежувати доступ до окремих сторінок ресурсу.

Раніше Archive.Org Роскомнагляд заблокував через сторінки під заголовком "Одиночний джихад в Росії: теорія і практика партизанського опору". 1 липня доступ до сайту був відновлений.

Відвідувачі Archive.Org можуть знайти в архіві будь-який сайт і дізнатися, як він виглядав в будь-який день з початку роботи ресурсу. Wayback Machine підтримують некомерційна організація з США Internet Archive і корпорація Alexa Internet. Архів містить копії більше чотирьохсот мільярдів веб-сторінок.
