Як повідомляє buzzfeed.com, причиною цього стала стаття про атаку бойовиків на чеченське місто Грозний.

Американський сайт уточнює, що отримав листа від Роскомнагляду 5 грудня. В ньому повідомлялося, що у публікації про Грозний містяться «заклики до масових заворушень, екстремістської діяльності або до участі у масових діях із порушенням громадського порядку»,повідомляє Мediasapiens

Російський наглядовий орган дав виданню BuzzFeed 24 години на видалення статті. За відмову сайт повністю заблокують на території РФ.

Матеріал про Грозний був опублікований 4 грудня. У ньому містяться репортажні фото та відео про події у столиці Чечні, що відбувалися в ніч на четвер.

BuzzFeed зауважує, що у листі не вказано: Роскомнагляд не влаштовує вся стаття чи лише окремі відеозаписи.
