На Юніон-сквер у Нью-Йорку в ці години збирається наймасовіший після виборів мітинг. Очікують понад п'ятнадцять тисяч людей.
Організатори закликають уникати агресії та вандалізму і радять брати із собою бутерброди. Загалом протести перестають носити виключно мирний характер - сльозогінний газ та перші поранення демонстрантів сталися у Портленді, штат Орегон. Там доводиться надівати протигаз - уже другу ніч поспіль поліція розганяє натовп сльозогінним газом.
Та тепер серед масових заворушень доводиться розбиратися і з індивідуальними злочинами. У Портленді на акції протесту перші особи з вогнепальними пораненнями. Близько півтори сотні затриманих у Лос-Анджелесі. Мітингують в Атланті, штат Джорджіа, у Майамі, штат Флорида, та в інших містах. У Нью-Йорку на Юніон Сквер акції мирні. У протестувальників різні претензії до майбутнього президента - права мігрантів та сексуальних меншин, охорона здоров'я тощо.
