У німецькому Гамбурзі в неділю, 2 липня, тисячі людей вийшли на демонстрацію протесту перед майбутнім самітом лідерів країн Великої двадцятки, повідомляє DW з посиланням на інформагенцію dpa.

Це перша із близько 30 заявлених протестних акцій, які мають відбутися перед або під час проведення саміту, що відбудеться 7-8 липня у Гамбурзі.

Дані щодо кількості учасників різняться: організатори нарахували близько 18 тисяч протестувальників, поліція повідомила про вісім тисяч демонстрантів.

На протест вийшли представники профспілок, об'єднань захисту прав споживачів, фермерів, захисників довкілля та церковних організацій.

Зазначається, що демонстранти виступали не стільки проти самого саміту Великої двадцятки, як проти політики цих країн, насамперед у сфері захисту клімату та торгівлі.

Протестувальники несли плакати з написами "Планета Земля передусім", "Боріться з бідністю" та "Демократія зараз". За даними правоохоронців, демонстранти поводяться мирно.
