Ініціював відкриття зали головний редактор видання Linkiesta Крістіан Рокка. У PEN зазначили, що «газета з відповідальністю й щирістю ставилася до місії Вікторії, яку вона несла у своїх текстах і на ділі».

Вікторія Амеліна – українська письменниця та громадська діячка. У 2014 році вийшов її дебютний роман «Синдром листопаду». Книжка увійшла до десятки найкращих прозових видань за версією премії «ЛітАкцент–2014».

Письменниця померла в лікарні 3 липня, повідомили в українському ПЕН. У момент удару рф по Краматорську Вікторія була в ресторані Ria Lounge в центрі міста разом із делегацією колумбійських журналістів та письменників.
