Twitter маркував пости глави Білого дому, в яких він розкритикував ідею губернатора Каліфорнії про проведення виборів президента за допомогою пошти та запропонував дізнатися більше інформації про голосування поштою

Пряма мова представника Twitter: "Ці твіти містять інформацію, яка потенційно вводить в оману про процеси голосування, та були помічені для забезпечення додаткового контексту навколо виборчих бюлетенів".

Згодом Трамп звинуватив компанію у втручанні в вибори президента США. "Вони заявляють, що мій допис про ненадійність голосування поштою є невірним. Дані перевірки засновані на повідомленнях Fake News CNN та Amazon Washington Post". Президент США також додав, що "Twitter повністю задушує свободу слова і я, як президент, не дозволю щоб це сталося!".
