За даними національного статистичного агентства США, у 2016 році тільки 34,3 млн американців подивилися церемонію вручення кінонагород у прямому ефірі.

У 2015 році за церемонією спостерігали 36,6 млн осіб, тоді як в 2014 році "Оскар" зібрав біля екранів 43,7 млн ​​глядачів.

Найнижчі показники рейтингів у премії були відзначені в 2008 році, коли "Оскар" зібрав біля екранів лише 32 млн жителів США.

Однак, як зазначається, телекомпанія ABC, яка транслювала "Оскар" заявила, що вручення премії стало найбільш рейтинговим врученням нагород за рік.
