Американський лідер Дональд Трамп звинуватив соціальну мережу Twitter в тому, що вони спеціально "розкручують" негативний образ президента США.

Трамп зазначив, що в Twitter є багато “трендів”, серед яких багато про нього, але жодного позитивного.

“Як огидно бачити так звані “Тренди” в Твіттері, де дуууже багато трендів про мене, і жодного доброго. Вони шукають все, що тільки можуть, роблять так, щоб знайдене виглядало якомога гірше, і розкручують, намагаючись зробити трендом. Дійсно безглуздо, незаконно і, звичайно ж, дуже несправедливо!”, – написав президент США.

Кілька тижнів тому Twitter позначив повідомлення президента США Дональда Трампа, в яких він розкритикував ідею губернатора Каліфорнії щодо проведення виборів президента за допомогою пошти  як такі, в яких може бути фейкова інформація.

У відповідь Трамп пригрозив закрити в країні соціальні мережі через нібито випадки шахрайства на виборах, а потім підписав указ, спрямований проти соціальний мереж. Керівництво Twitter назвало указ “реакційним” і “політизованим”, а некомерційна організація Центр демократії та технологій (CDT) подала на Трампа до  суду.
