Президент США Дональд Трамп закликав Росію "врегулювати конфлікт з Україною" та застеріг голову МЗС РФ Сергія Лаврова від будь-яких спроб втручання у вибори у США
 

Про це йдеться в повідомленні Білого дому про зустріч Трампа з Лавровим у Вашингтоні, передає "Радіо Свобода".

Крім того, Трамп наголосив на підтримці "ефективного глобального контролю над озброєннями", який включав би як Росію, так і Китай.

Також Трамп попросив Росію про підтримку щодо запобігання розробці Іраном ядерної зброї та забезпечення ядерного роззброєння КНДР.

Візит Лаврова відбувся 10 грудня - наступного дня після чотиристоронніх переговорів між Росією, Францією, Німеччиною та Україною для врегулювання війни на Донбасі.

З Лавровим також зустрівся держсекретар США Майк Помпео. Співрозмовники обговорили денуклеаризацію Північної Кореї, зміну керівництва у Венесуелі, Україну, а також втручання Росії у вибори у США в 2016 році та майбутнє договорів щодо ядерної зброї.
