Кандидаты в президенты США Хиллари Клинтон и Дональд Трамп во вторник, 8 марта, победили на первичных выборах в штате Миссисипи. Бывший госсекретарь США Клинтон одержала победу среди демократов, опередив своего ключевого соперника - Берни Сандерса. Миллиардер Трамп, представитель Республиканской партии, обошел сенаторов Марко Рубио и Теда Круза. Также Трамп одержал победу на праймериз в штате Мичиган, а Клинтон в этом же штате проиграла Сандерсу, сообщает dw.com.

 

В тот же день праймериз у республиканцев проходят, кроме того, в штате Айдахо и на Гавайских островах.

58-е президентские выборы пройдут в США 8 ноября 2016 года. Предварительное голосование по отбору кандидатов от Демократической и Республиканской партий проводится в формате праймериз в 36 штатах, кокусов - в 14. Окончательно имена кандидатов будут названы на партийных съездах, которые состоятся в конце лета.
