Він зазначив, що Трамп "принижує не тільки офіс президента, а й усіх людей навколо себе". На думку Закарії, президент "дещо байдужий" щодо істинності чи хибності того чи іншого факту.

Аналітик додав, що Трамп "вибльовує брехню" щодня, тому його команда не може нормально працювати.

Президент США вже неодноразово робив заяви, які виявлялися помилковими.

Зокрема, він звинуватив колишнього президента США Барака Обаму і британську розвідку у прослуховуванні його телефонних розмов під час виборчої кампанії США. Прес-секретареві Білого дому Шону Спайсеру й раднику президента з національної безпеки Герберту Макмастеру довелося вибачатися за його слова, оскільки доказів знайти не вдалося.
