Глава Белого дома Дональд Трамп хочет, чтобы украинский президент Владимир Зеленский вмешался в президентские выборы в США, которые должны состояться в 2020 году. Как передает PRпортал, об этом идет речь в опубликованном вчера материале The Washington Post. По данным автора статьи, Трамп давит на Зеленского, чтобы тот помог развитию расследования, открытого в Украине против Джо Байдена, являющегося соперником Трампа по президентской гонке.

В материале издания отмечается, что одним из способов давления является обращение администрации Трампа к Пентагону касаемо пересмотра военной помощи для Украины. К тому же, сообщается, что возобновить расследование против Джо Байдена и его сына порекомендовал личный адвокат Трампа Рудольф Джулиани, встречавшийся с близким партнером украинского президента.

В данном случае имеется в виду история, когда сын Джо Байдена - Хантер Байден - являлся членом совета директоров частной украинской газовой компании Burisma Group, когда на то время глава ГПУВиктор Шокин начал расследование деятельности фирмы. Джо Байден в то время был на посту вице-президента США и призвал уволить прокурора.
