У понеділок, 17 серпня, президент США Дональд Трамп заявив, що його головним суперником на виборах став не кандидат від демократів Джо Байден, а ЗМІ.

Про це він сказав в інтерв'ю Fox News.

"Мій найсерйозніший суперник - це не Байден, а нечесна преса", - сказав він.

Трамп зазначив, що щодня повинен протистояти ЗМІ, що підтримують Байдена.

"Кожен день вони кидають в мене "бомби". Це роблять нечесні журналісти", - заявив президент, додавши, що поки добре справляється.

За його словами, при цьому "Байден навіть не виходить зі свого підвалу, а вони (ЗМІ) все одно активно пишуть про нього. Він навіть не відповідає на питання журналістів".
