Обраний президент США Дональд Трамп заявив, що НАТО давно застаріло.

Про це він заявив в інтерв'ю газетам The Times і Bild, передає АР.

"Я казав давним-давно, що у НАТО є проблеми. По-перше, воно застаріло, так як було створено багато, багато років тому. По-друге, країни не фінансують його так, як повинні", - зазначив Трамп.

Він також зазначив, що НАТО застаріло, так як "не потурбувалося про тероризм".

При цьому Трамп додав, що для нього "НАТО є дуже важливим".

Крім того, в інтерв'ю Трамп розкритикував канцлера ФРН Ангелу Меркель за її міграційну політику.

"Я думаю, що вона зробила одну дуже катастрофічну помилку, приймаючи всіх цих нелегалів", - заявив він.

Водночас він підкреслив, що "з великою повагою" ставиться до Меркель.
