Президент США Дональд Трамп набрав мінімально необхідну кількість голосів делегатів від Республіканської партії та забезпечив собі участь у президентських виборах 2020 року.

Про це повідомляє CNN.

Мінімальну кількість у 1276 голосів делегатів Трамп здобув під час праймеріз 17 березня у штатах Флорида та Іллінойс. Наразі він уже має 1301 голос, а праймеріз триватимуть аж до червня.

У Трампа абсолютно не було конкурентів, єдиним його супротивником був колишній губернатор штату Массачусетс Білл Велд. На усіх праймеріз чинний американський президент отримував понад 95% голосів, а за увесь час Велд спромігся отримати лише 1 голос від делегатів.
