Компания Google решила запретить пользователям искать информацию по другим регионам, меняя домен поисковика.

Такая функция была полезна, если вы, к примеру, искали информацию о своей стране, когда находились за границей, передает Новое время со ссилкой на Android Police. 

Ранее результаты на один и тот же запрос могли быть разными при поиске в google.de, google.com.ua, google.co.uk и т.д. Компания объяснила решение убрать возможность выбора домена верхнего уровня тем, что каждый пятый запрос чувствителен к местоположению пользователя и крайне важно предоставлять локализованную информацию.

В Google уверены, что это изменение улучшит "опыт работы пользователей с поиском", поскольку будет автоматически предоставлять "самую полезную информацию на основе их местоположения".

"Итак, если вы живете в Австралии, вы автоматически получите результаты поиска для Австралии. Приехав в Новую Зеландию, вы автоматически переключитесь на региональную версию для Новой Зеландии. Вернувшись в Австралию, вы опять будете видеть результаты поиска для этого региона", — объяснили в Google.

Журналисты отмечают, что в принципе, возможность сменить регион поиска в настройках Google осталась. Для этого необходимо изменить "Настройки поиска" справа внизу стартовой страницы Google. Однако, настройки придется менять каждый раз, когда вам будут нужны результаты из другой страны.
