Лідерка партії "Батьківщина" Юлія Тимошенко заявила, що балотуватиметься у президенти України в 2019 році

Про це Тимошенко сказала під час відеоконференції у Facebook.

"Я балотуватимуся на посаду президента України. Але балотуватимуся не для того, щоб просто пограти в авторитаризм і монополію влади. Для мене президентська посада - це не Playstation (ігровий пристрій - ред.), а реальні зміни, на які чекає країна", - сказала Тимошенко.

Лідерка "Батьківщини" пообіцяла в разі перемоги провести референдум щодо змін до Конституції.

"Якщо я виграю на президентських виборах, одразу проведу референдум, на якому запропоную ухвалити нову Конституцію України як реальний суспільний договір, демонополізувати владу. З одного боку - зробити її сильнішою в плані реалізації стратегій, а з іншого боку - зробити правильно організованою та збалансованою, підконтрольною суспільству", - сказала Тимошенко.

Нардеп також заявила, що в разі проведення такого референдуму парламентські вибори, заплановані на осінь 2019 року, слід проводити вже за новим законодавством.

"Наразі працює велика група вчених і правознавців, щоб створити концепцію нової Конституції, потім цей проект має бути переданий на референдум, новий президент насамперед повинен прийняти нову Конституцію і втілити її в життя. І вже нові парламентські вибори провести за новою Конституцією", - сказала Тимошенко.
