Індійський політик Маной Тіварі (Manoj Tiwari) використав технологію «deep fake» власного ролика на діалекті ханіані та англійською для передвиборної агітації. Про це пише Vice.

«Deep fake» різними мовами для «позитивної виборчої кампанії» згенерувала на замовлення компанія з політичних комунікацій Ideaz Factory. У відео на харіані Тіварі намагався відмовити робітників, що мешкають у Делі, голосувати за партію-конкурента. «Deep fake» поширили по 5 800 чатах у WhatsApp, а сам ролик переглянули понад 15 мільйонів людей. Після того компанія створила ще один ролик – англійською. Користувачі WhatsApp помітили неприродні рухи губ політика. В Ideaz Factory визнали, що алгоритм не ідеальний.

Проте партія Тіварі буде його удосконалювати для подальшого використання у виборчій кампанії.

Водночас про таку ініціативу різко висловилися експерти. Так, автор громадського проекту Tattle, який створює архів контенту у WhatsApp, Таруніма Прабхакар (Tarunima Prabhakar) заявив, що політики «випустили джина з пляшки, оскільки рано чи пізно хтось використає технологію як «зброю».

«Якщо дозволяти політичним партіям використовувати такі види діпфейків, то як це тлумачити? Надто багато суб’єктиву», – зазначив фахівець.
