Режиссер Стивен Содерберг выступит в роли продюсера фильма о "панамских документах". Кроме того, он, скорее всего, также снимет картину,  сообщает ZN.UA
 

Фильм будет основан на книге "Мир секретности", написанной журналистом Джейком Берстайном, одним из журналистов, участвовавших в раскрытии 11 миллионов документов.

Над фильмом будет работать постоянный соавтор Содерберга сценарист Скотт Бернс, вместе с которым они выпустили такие ленты, как "Информатор", "Заражение" и "Побочный эффект". Сопродюсерами ленты станут Лоренс Грей и Майкл Шугар.

3 апреля Центр по исследованию коррупции и организованной преступности (OCCRP), Международный консорциум журналистских расследований (ICIJ), а также сайты мировых СМИ опубликовали большой материал, в котором речь идет о многочисленных офшорных компаниях, используемых лидерами государств, политиками, знаменитостями и известными спортсменами.

Расследование базируется на 2,6 терабайта данных, которые включают в себя 11,5 млн документов с серверов одного из ведущих регистраторов офшоров в мире – панамской юридической фирмы Mossack Fonseca.
