Американець Карлос  Мальдонадо із  міста Айова побудував зі снігу у своєму подвір’ї велику білу акулу понад 12 м у довжину і 1,7 м у висоту. Каже, від дітвори тепер відбою немає.

Карлос розповідає, що на роботу пішло не багато часу – десь 4,5 год. Ще година – на фарбування акриловими фарбами на водній основі. Чоловікові допомагали у цьому двоє його синів. Каже, спочатку вона була навіть вищою, але за пару днів, скільки стоїть, сніг трохи спресувався.

Скульптура вийшла значно більшою за справжніх аналогів – самки живих білих акул сягають 5 м, самці – лише 4 м. Тож акула-сніговик нагадує скоріше мегалодона із фільму «Щелепи».  

Мальдонадо розповідає, що шукав в інтернеті ідеї снігових скульптур, і зупинився на акулі.

«Коли я побачив її, я подумав, що я справді зможу її відворити зі снігу», – каже Карлос.

Тепер дітвора та їхні батьки відвідують подвір’я Карлоса, а акула стала місцевою знаменитістю.
