Колишнього голову СБУ і голову партії "Сила і честь" Ігоря Смешка висунули кандидатом у мери Києва. Про це повідомляє пресслужба партії.
“Згідно з одностайним рішенням повноважною конференції, голова політичної партії “Сила і Честь” Ігор Смешко став кандидатом від партії на посаду мера столиці України – міста Києва”, – йдеться у повідомленні.
Також партія представила свою першу п’ятірку кандидатів в депутати. Крім Смешка туди увійшли:
- Інна Новак – засновниця і керівна партнерка групи компаній Grant Thornton в Україні (входить до складу Grant Thornton – однієї з найбільших аудиторських, консалтингових мереж світу, що об’єднує понад 56 000 співробітників у більше ніж 140 країнах), була депутаткою Київради у 2008–2014 роках;
- Володимир Тимошенко – доктор юридичних наук, генерал-лейтенант, професор кафедри правового забезпечення Національного університету оборони України імені Івана Черняховського;
- Людмила Яценко – докторка медичних наук, провідна наукова співробітниця Національного інституту раку МОЗ України;
- Юрій Прокоф’єв – генерал-майор, кандидат педагогічних наук, академік Академії інженерних наук України, заступник голови партії “Сила і честь”.
Напередодні виборів мера Києва лідер проєвропейської партії "Сила і Честь", генерал-полковник і колишній керівник Служби безпеки України Ігор Смешко розвісив свої агітаційні плакати на напівзруйнованих будинках українців.
Ігор Смешко був начальником Головного управління військової розвідки Міністерства оборони у 1997-2000 рр., заступником секретаря РНБО в 2002-2003, а з 2003 по 2005 очолював СБУ.
У 2019 на виборах президента він набрав 1,14 мільйона голосів (6,04%) і посів шосте місце.
