Народний депутат з фракції "Слуга народу" Ірина Верещук подала свою кандидатуру для участі у внутрішньопартійних праймеріз на пост мера Києва.

Про це повідомила сама Верещук у вівторок в ефірі телеканалу "Наш"

За її словами, вона не обговорювала це питання з президентом Володимиром Зеленським.

"Тому що праймеріз - це питання відкрите. Я подала свою кандидатуру, коли почула про те, що розглядаються різні кандидатури. На це є право і можливість...

У мене є певні підстави подати свою кандидатуру: розбираюся в цьому, жила багато років в цьому, знаю і вмію. А чому б тоді не подати своє бачення того, що можна зробити на місцевих виборах Києва?"

Верещук колись була мером міста Рава-Руська, що на Львівщині.

Нардепка раніше вже заявляла, що не виключає своєї участі у виборах міського голови Києва.

А голова парламентської фракції "Слуга народу" Давид Арахамія казав, що кандидатом на пост мера Києва від "слуг" може стати жінка, ім'я якої в політсилі розголошувати поки не хочуть.

Чергові вибори мера Києва і Київради заплановані на 25 жовтня 2020 року.

Лідером електоральних симпатій на виборах до міської ради, за даними соціологів, є президентська партія "Слуга народу". Водночас дослідження кількох соціологічних груп показують, що найбільшою довірою киян користується чинний мер Віталій Кличко.
