Начиная с сегодняшнего дня веб-версия популярного VoIP-сервиса Skype стала доступна по всему миру. Протестировать работу бета-версии можно, зайдя на www.skype.com илиweb.skype.com. Сейчас приложение поддерживает работу на английском, украинском, русском и многих других языках. Оно работает в Internet Explorer, Chrome для Windows, Firefox и Safari,пишет AIN.ua.

Чтобы начать использовать веб-приложение, достаточно залогиниться — все контакты, история сообщений будут подгружены и доступны в браузере. Чтобы звонить по Skype, нужно будет установить плагин SkypeWebPlugin (без него будет доступна только текстовая переписка). При загрузке веб-версии программа попросит включить уведомления — таким образом, пользователь узнает о поступающих текстовых, аудио- и видеовызовах, даже если работает в другом браузере или приложении.

Интерфейс веб-приложения почти ничем не отличается от стандартного. В версии Skype для веб вместо раздельного поиска по контактам и последним разговорам есть общий поиск в хронологическом порядке.

Как считают в компании, Skype для веб подойдет тем, кто обычно пользуется программой на мобильном, но хотел бы принимать и осуществлять вызовы или общаться в чате на большом экране.
