Лідер забороненої Компартії Петро Симоненко взяв участь у мітингу з нагоди першотравня, який відбувся у Житомирі.  Про це повідомляє місцеве видання "Житомир.інфо".

На акції 1 травня у Житомирі сталася штовханина між депутатом-свободівцем та мітингарем. Свободівець Олег Черняхович не витримав промов представників забороненої Компартії та вирішив відімкнути їм звук на колонках. Через це розпочалася штовханина між комуністом на свободівцем.

Підтримати акцію "Ні тарифному геноциду!" на майдані Соборному в Житомирі зібралося трохи більше сотні людей.

Тривала акція близько двох годин. Наприкінці пенсіонери скандували "Ура!" та "Нехай живе першотравень", а Петро Симоненко поспіхом сів до автівки Honda Accord та поїхав із площі, навіть не поспілкувавшись із людьми.
