Лідер німецьких соціал-демократів і кандидат на посаду канцлера ФРН Мартін Шульц закликав заборонити політичну агітацію турецького президента Реджепа Тайіпа Ердогана в Німеччині.

Ердоган планує провести мітинг на наступному тижні, коли він братиме участь у саміті G20 у Гамбурзі.

Шульц заявив, що мітинг необхідно заборонити через авторитарне правління Ердогана, а також через те, що він може перевести внутрішні турецькі політичні конфлікти до Німеччини.

Близько 1,4 млн турецьких громадян, що проживають у Німеччині, мають право голосу в Туреччині. Майже половина з них взяла участь в недавньому референдумі, за результатами якого було розширено повноваження президента Реджепа Таїпа Ердогана.

Нагадаємо, Німеччина не пустить на саміт G20 12 охоронців президента Туреччини, щодо яких в США видано ордери на арешт за бійку у Вашингтоні.
