Після підрахунку всіх голосів на президентських виборах у Перу кандидат від соціалістів Педро Кастільо з невеликим відривом випередив свою консервативну суперницю Кейко Фухіморі, повідомляє Reuters
Фухіморі отримала 49,875% голосів, а Кастільо - 50,125%.
Зазначається, що голосування зіштовхується з потенційними юридичними проблемами з боку Фухіморі – вона висунула звинувачення в шахрайстві з невеликими доказами і спробувала анулювати деякі голоси. Фухіморі заявляла, що прихильники Кастільо вкрали голоси в сільській місцевості. Водночас, міжнародні спостерігачі заявили, що немає ніяких доказів фальсифікації і що вибори були чесні.
Як повідомлялося, Кастільо - член лівої партії "Вільне Перу". Він учитель початкової школи і політичний новачок і отримав широку підтримку широких мас за обіцянки переписати конституцію і перерозподілити гірничодобувні багатства.
Останній тур президентських виборів у Перу відбувся 6 червня.
