Бывший депутат Верховной Рады Александр Шепелев согласился сотрудничать со следствием в России и дал показания о ряде украинских политиков в обмен на свое освобождение из следственного изолятора. Об этом сообщают Українські Новини со ссылкой на информированный источник.

"На днях нам стало известно, что Шепелев пошел на соглашение с российским следствием, дав показания по ряду украинских политиков: Тимошенко и других. В ответ его освободили из-под стражи", - сказал источник.

В то же время, другой собеседник агентства собщил, что около 10 дней назад Украина получила отказ от России об экстрадиции Шепелева, пояснив, что такая выдача ставит под угрозу российские национальные интересы.

Напомним, в Украине Шепелев подозревается в совершении ряда преступлений, таких как организация умышленного убийства, покушения на убийство, присвоение и растрата чужого имущества путем злоупотребления служебным положением.

Ранее сегодня экс-глава Государственной пенитенциарной службы Украины Сергей Старенький заявил, что Шепелев вышел на свободу из российского СИЗО.
