Бывший президент Грузии Михаил Саакашвили посоветовал «Единому национальному движению» при выдвижении кандидатов на парламентские выборы установить паритет с женщинами. Об этом он написал на своей странице в Facebook.

«Мое мнение и совет «Единому национальному движению». ЕНД всегда была основоположником новых тенденций, и сейчас она должна выступить с несколькими новыми инициативами, из которых первой может быть установление полного паритета для женщин. В рамках процесса общего обновления следует объявить, что 50% кандидатов в парламентских списках будут женщины», — цитирует его Грузия Online.

«Во-первых, этим мы подчеркнем роль женщин в грузинском обществе, это объективно способствует обновлению и лучше подготовит нас к неизбежной победе на выборах», — пояснил политик.

Саакашвили выразил уверенность, что найти достойных кандидаток будет несложно. «Вместе с тем, мы должны своевременно представить общественности этих кандидатов», — уточнил экс-президент.
