При этом Роуссефф заявила, что сначала ей нужно остаться в должности по итогам рассмотрения вопроса об окончательном импичменте сенаторами, начало которого намечено на 1-2 августа, пишут РИА Новости Украина
Президент Бразилии Дилма Роуссефф, временно отстраненная от должности решением сената, заявила, что согласна на новые выборы главы государства.
«Если необходимо, чтобы прошли новые выборы, я была бы согласна», — приводит Ассошиэйтед Пресс заявление Роуссефф в ходе общения с представителями иностранных информагентств. При этом она подчеркнула, что сначала ей нужно остаться в должности по итогам рассмотрения вопроса об окончательном импичменте сенаторами, начало которого намечено на 1-2 августа. На случай своей победы Роуссефф готовит обращение к бразильцам с предложением нового политического пакта.
Ранее глава Бразилии предложила провести национальный референдум по вопросу ее президентства в том случае, если попытка ее импичмента не состоится. После отстранения Роуссефф в середине мая вице-президент Мишел Темер уже сформировал новое правительство Бразилии. Тогда сенат Бразилии 55 голосами против 22 поддержал продолжение процедуры импичмента Роуссефф. После этого глава государства покинула свой пост на 180 дней.
