У Росії забороняють вказувати причини самогубств у публікаціях. Роскомнагляд загрожує блокуванням видань, які порушують це правило.

Так, видання "Православіє і світ" отримало вимогу відредагувати інформацію в публікації, в якій описувалося, як онкохворий покінчив життя самогубством через постійні страждання від хвороби,пише ТСН

"Забороненими були визнані опис способів самогубства і причини самогубства, в тому числі: "Дружина загиблого пояснила, що її чоловік страждав від постійного болю через онкологічне захворювання і часто говорив, що втомився від хвороби", - сказано в отриманому виданням документі.

При тому, що ці замітки вже були відредаговані - подробиці суїцидів двох чоловіків хворих на рак були видалені з публікацій раніше.

В законі "Про інформацію", що діє на території РФ, забороняються тільки @відомості про способи вчинення самогубства, а також заклики до вчинення самогубства", і нічого не говориться про причини скоєння самогубства, пише Slon.ru. Водночас нещодавно заступник мера Москви з питань соціального розвитку Леонід Печатніков відмовився визнавати зв'язок між недоступністю знеболюючих препаратів і частими самогубствами онкохворих.
