Під контролем Росії в окупованій Абхазії провели так звані "президентські вибори". "Волевиявлення" відбулося 25 серпня 2019 року. МЗС України вже заявило, що не визнає "виборів" на окупованій Росією території та рішуче засуджує їх, - повідомляє PRпортал.

"Вибори" в Абхазії – це чергова провокаційна спроба Росії легітимізувати проросійський сепаратистський режим окупованої грузинської території, мовиться у заяві МЗС.

Міністерство також наголошує, що Україна незмінно підтримує суверенітет і територіальну цілісність Грузії у межах її міжнародно визнаних кордонів та не визнає так званої незалежності окупованих Абхазії, та Цхінвальського регіону – Південної Осетії.

МЗС України також закликало Росію до поваги й неухильного виконання норм і принципів міжнародного права та перегляду рішення щодо визнання "незалежності" так званих Республіки Абхазія та Республіки Південна Осетія.
