У канадському парламенті нового скликання буде 98 жінок: 29% від загальної кількості обранців
 

Про це повідомляє Виборча служба Канади, передає Укрінформ.

Зазначається, що у парламенті минулого скликання жінок було 88: 26% від загальної кількості депутатів.

Виборча служба Канади повідомляє, що представників корінних народів у головному законодавчому органі Канади поменшало на 1 особу - до 10.

"Новий парламент оновиться більш ніж на чверть, адже 27% обраних депутатів раніше не брали участі у політиці на федеральному рівні", - йдеться у повідомленні.

Наймолодшим депутатом тепер буде 21-річний Ерік Меліло, який представлятиме північ провінції Онтаріо, а найстаршим - 78-річна Геді Фрай з Британської Колумбії.
