Верховна Рада підтримала урядовий закон про внесення змін до бюджетного кодексу, дозволивши виділити кошти на підтримку телерадіокомпаній Криму і Севастополя.

За це рішення проголосували 227 депутатів.

У пояснювальній записці до цього закону міністр фінансів Олександр Данилюк писав, що документ "унормує здійснення витрат державного  бюджету та забезпечить фінансову підтримку ТОВ "Телевізійна компанія "Атлант-СВ" для телеканалу з логотипом "АТR T".

Під час обговорення документу більшість депутатів висловилися за прийняття цього закону, нагадавши, що жителі Криму повинні мати можливість дивитися українське телебачення та відчувати підтримку України в умовах російської окупації.

Однак депутат від "Відродження" Антон Яценко виступив проти, заявивши, що держава не може підтримувати приватні телеканали.

Як відомо, кримськотатарський телеканал ATR заявив про відсутність фінансування з держбюджету України і про намір переїхати у Литву.

Головний редактор новин телеканалу Осман Пашаєв заявив, що своєю постановою уряд обіцяв телеканалу 40 млн гривень щорічної допомоги від держави, однак Мінфін гроші так і не виділив.

Після незаконної анексії Криму колабораціоністська влада не давала ліцензію на мовлення незалежним ЗМІ. 

Потім же ATR вдалося відновити роботу, але їм постійно перешкоджали.

Пізніше ці ЗМІ втратили можливість працювати в Криму і переїхали в материкову Україну.
