На встрече с президентом в Крыму лидер ЛДПР предложил изменить гимн на "Боже, царя храни", заменить российский триколор на имперский флаг и переименовать президента в верховного правителя
Высказывания лидера ЛДПР Владимира Жириновского не всегда отражают официальную позицию РФ. Это был вынужден подчеркнуть президент России Владимир Путин на встрече с членами думских фракций, во время которой Жириновский в присущей ему эпатажной манере высказал ряд неоднозначных предложений.

Так, лидер ЛДПР предложил поменять нынешний российский триколор на имперский флаг, переименовать должность президента в "верховного правителя", заменить гимн на "Боже, царя храни", и так далее. Кроме того, он высказал ряд милитаристских идей, которые сводились к тому, чтобы пугать некоторые другие страны военным потенциалом РФ. В довершение всего парламентарий признался, что в Крыму ему жарко, а хорошо - на Севере: в Архангельске или Воркуте.

Большинство "идей" Жириновского зал встретил смехом. Однако после его выступления Путин предпочел прояснить, что не разделяет этих инициатив. "Все, что было сказано Владимиром Вольфовичем, - это его личное мнение, не всегда совпадает с официальной позицией РФ, но зажигает красиво", - отметил он. При этом президент констатировал, что лидер ЛДПР может все это высказывать, так как "у нас свобода слова".
