Президент РФ Владимир Путин в среду подписал закон, обязывающий кандидатов на выборах всех уровней, кроме президентских, лично участвовать в телевизионных дебатах.

Об этом сообщается на официальном портале правовой информации. Ранее вместо кандидатов в дебатах могли участвовать их доверенные лица, пишет РИА Новости 

Что касается периода проведения межпартийных дебатов, партии сами будут определять, кто из их представителей достоин принимать участие в этих дебатах, кто по тому или иному вопросу наиболее компетентен.

Как ранее отметила спикер Совета Федерации Валентина Матвиенко, требование о личном участии кандидатов в теледебатах — это правильная норма, кандидат должен уметь выступать, дебатировать, отстаивать свою точку зрения.

"Считаю, что это очень правильная норма. Я сама прошла выборы, когда у меня было 16 оппонентов, прошла дебаты и считаю, что возможность открытых дебатов при равных для всех кандидатов условиях — это возможность донести до избирателей свою программу, свое видение тех или иных вопросов внутренней и внешней политики", — заявила спикер.

По ее словам, в последнее время было принято много законов, направленных на то, чтобы сделать выборы более прозрачными, честными, привлечь к ним интерес избирателей. "Участие в дебатах — одно из таких звеньев. Мне кажется, если ты хочешь избираться в парламент, ты должен уметь быть полемистом, уметь выступать, дебатировать, отстаивать свою точку зрения. Это хорошая норма", — отметила Матвиенко.
