Президент Грузії Ґіорґі Марґвелашвілі видав указ про призначення парламентських виборів на 8 жовтня, повідомила речниця президента Ека Мішвеладзе 3 червня.

За її словами, на 8 жовтня Марґвелашвілі також призначив проведення виборів до Верховної Ради Аджарської автономної республіки.

Указ президента направили прем’єр-міністру Грузії Ґіорґі Квірікашвілі.

«Ми сподіваємося, що прем’єр-міністр, своєю чергою, підпише указ», – зазначила Ека Мішвіладзе.

Згідно з Конституцією Грузії, вибори мають відбутися у жовтні, але точну дату встановлює президент не пізніше як за два місяці до дня голосування.
