Кумедний інцидент відбувся у понеділок, 11 липня, після того, як Кемерон оголосив, що йде з посади, передає ТСН

Прем'єр повідомив журналістам, що востаннє очолить засідання Кабміну у вівторок та направився до дверей. Забувши про увімкнений мікрофон, Кемерон промугикав собі під ніс якусь пісеньку та зайшов до будинку. 

Нагадаємо, що новим прем'єр-міністром Сполученого Королівства стане глава МВС Тереза Мей.

Це стало очевидним після того, як з гонки за пост лідера консерваторів вийшла її єдиний суперник — Андреа Ледсом. Мей хоче уникнути дев'ятитижневої передвиборної кампанії, яка нині не відповідає інтересам Британії. Політик користується підтримкою понад 60 відсотків парламентаріїв-консерваторів і зможе сформувати уряд.

Тепер для вступу Мей на посаду необхідно її офіційне затвердження королевою. Єлизавета II знаходиться зараз в Шотландії, але вже 12 липня повернеться в Лондон. Передача повноважень від Кемерона до Мей пройде, як очікується, у другій половині дня в середу, 13 липня.
