5-6 червня 2015 року Україну з першим в історії українсько-японських відносин офіційним візитом відвідає Прем’єр-міністр Японії Сіндзо Абе.

Візит Глави Уряду Японії до нашої держави напередодні Саміту «Великої сімки» стане потужним проявом твердої і всебічної політичної підтримки України,повідомляє прес-служба Президента України

У ході зустрічей та переговорів сторони обговорять увесь комплекс питань двосторонньої взаємодії у політичній, економічній, науково-технологічній, гуманітарній сферах, актуальні проблеми глобального та регіонального порядку денного, а також співпрацю України та Японії у рамках міжнародних організацій.
