Весілля 42-річного глави уряду Великого герцогства Люксембург Ксав'є Беттель і 36-річного Готьє Дестне відбудеться 15 травня, в п'ятницю, в міській ратуші міста Люксембург.

Пресу на церемонію не пустять: як заявив один з друзів прем'єра, пара хоче, щоб "все пройшло в теплій і позитивній атмосфері; нічого не планується виставляти напоказ, але символізм цього весілля приховати неможливо".

По завершенню церемонії одруження намічений прийом на 600 гостей. Очікується, що участь у ньому візьме прем'єр-міністр Бельгії Шарль Мішель.

Таким чином, Беттель, який обіймає посаду прем'єра Люксембургу з 2013 року і не приховує своєї сексуальної орієнтації, стане першим в ЄС і другим у світі лідером, який уклав гомосексуальний шлюб.
