Кандидатуру глави нафтової компанії ExxonMobil на пост політика, що відповідатиме за зовнішню політику Сполучених Штатів, раніше визначив обраний американський президент Дональд Трамп.

Сьогодні, 11 січня, Тіллерсон виступає із промовою в комітеті Сенату США із закордонних справ під час слухань щодо його затвердження на посаді.

Захід супроводжується акцією протесту.

На Капіталійському пагорбі зібралися демонстранти у костюмах динозаврів, жінки із рожевими тіарами та чолов'яга у перуці, схожою на зачіску Трампа, із доларами на костюмі. Нагадаємо, новообраний президент США Дональд Трамп обрав новим держсекретарем США керівника найбільшої приватної нафтової компанії ExxonMobil Рекса Тіллерсона, який має "зв'язки з Росією".

Американський бізнесмен, який отримав у Кремлі орден "Дружби", відомий своїми тісними дружніми відносинами з РФ та особисто президентом Володимиром Путіним і закликами скасувати санкції.
