Президент Петр Порошенко рассказал о детских мечтах стать десантником, передает 112 Украина. Своими детскими воспоминаниями президент поделился во время выступления перед бойцами ВДВ в Житомире.

"Сегодня уже каждый мальчик знает эти номера (бригад ВДВ). И сегодня многие мечтают стать десантником. Это очень важно. Я лично это понимаю, потому что родился в городе Болграде в Одесской области. Тогда там стояла Болградская десантная дивизия и для нас была большая честь встретить десантника, он наденет на тебя свой голубой берет и ты мечтал, как ты станешь когда-нибудь членом крылатой пехоты", - рассказал Порошенко.

Он также сообщил, что в боях на Донбассе погибли 415 воинов-десантников.

"415 крылатых пехотинцев не вернулись с боевых задач, погибнув в тяжелых боях с российским агрессором", - сказал он.

Глава государства также сообщил, что 2295 украинских десантников получили государственные награды, из них 7 стали Героями Украины.

Как известно, сегодня в Украине отмечается день ВДВ.
