На сайті SecondeChance.org понад 25 000 тварин чекають на адопцію. Але для деяких з них очікування є довшим через їхній колір. Чорні собаки перебувають у притулках в середньому в 4 рази довше, ніж інші — це явище відоме як «синдром чорного собаки».

Але в жовтні минулого року чорна собака зачарувала весь світ — йде мова про пісню Тейлор Свіфт «The Black Dog», яка викликала хвилю пошуків та обговорень у соціальних мережах. 

Цей глобальний успіх наштовхнув платформу для адопції тварин Seconde Chance та агентство BETC Paris на блискучу ідею — перейменувати всіх чорних собак на сайті на честь відомої співачки.

Всього було перейменовано 600 чорних собак. Це було зроблено для того, щоб скористатися величезною популярністю співачки та її надпотужної фан-бази, яка здатна збільшити ВВП країни або викликати землетрус під час концерту.

Завдяки пошуковим запитам у Google та палким дискусіям навколо пісні ініціатива згенерувала рекордну кількість відвідувань профілів чорних собак, якими зазвичай цікавляться найменше.
