Соціальний інтернет-сервіс і фотохостинг Pinterest оголосив про запуск нового формату реклами - промо відеоролики (Promoted Video).
 

Мережа послідувала прикладу Facebook і Twitter в орієнтації на зростаючий ринок онлайн-відео, пише Media Sapiens з посиланням на The Guardian.

Поки що новий функціонал доступний лише в США та Великобританії. Промо відеоролики будуть транслюватися в додатках сервісу для ОС IOS та Android, 

У стрічках користувачів реклама цього зразка буде представлена у вигляді анімованого тізера. Натиснувши на нього, можна буде переглянути повну версію ролика. Рекламодавці платитимуть за кожну тисячу показів.

Зараз Pinterest активно інвестує в відео. За даними компанії, за останній рік кількість роликів, опублікованих в сервісі, зросла на 60%. При цьому 75% всього контенту в сервісі розміщують представники бізнесу. 

Раніше Pinterest  заявляла про запуск реклами в мережі. Компанія тоді запевнила,що це у жодному разі не буде банерна реклама або спливаючі вікна з рекламою, а лише пости (promoted pins) від рекламодавців, і їх зміст буде залежати від сторінок, на які підписаний конкретний користувач.
