Під час здійснення нападу на нічний клуб в Орландо, де загинули 49 осіб, стрілець встиг розмістити у Facebook кілька повідомлень, де розповів про свої погляди.

Підозрюваний 29-річний Омар Матін присягнув на вірність лідеру "Ісламської держави" Абу Бакру аль-Багдаді і висловив думку, що "справжні мусульмани ніколи не приймуть брудні шляхи Заходу".

"Ви вбиваєте невинних жінок і дітей, здійснюючи авіаудари... Спробуйте помсту "Ісламської держави", - написав він у соцмережі.

Матін додав, що Сполучені Штати і Росія повинні перестати бомбити "ІД". Він також пригрозив атаками угруповання на території США найближчим часом.

Під час нападу стрілок відстежував повідомлення ЗМІ за запитами на кшталт "Pulse Orlando" і "shooting" (стрільба). Крім інформації про себе, злочинець шукав в мережі промови лідера "ІД" і дані про терористів із Сан-Бернардіно.

Джерело у ФБР розповіло, що Матін зробив з клубу 16 телефонних дзвінків, їх одержувачі відстежуються. У свою чергу, сенатор Джонсон розповів, що, за попередньою інформацією, у Омара Матіна було до п'яти акаунтів у Facebook. Влада попросила у компанії всі дані щодо активності підозрюваного.
