Посол США в Украине Джеффри Пайетт сравнил российский фильм «Крым. Путь на Родину», рассказывающий о событиях 2014 года, когда Россия аннексировала Крыма, с диснеевскими мультфильмами и «Звездными войнами».

«Я видел большую часть этого фильма на российском канале. Это мне напомнило диснеевский фантастический фильм или одну из серий «Звездных войн». Много музыки, драматических сцен, но не очень реалистично», — сказал дипломат, информирует еizvestia.com.

Он также отметил, что не располагает информацией о том, что Россия разместила ядерное оружие в Крыму.

При этом посол подчеркнул, что американские санкции в ответ на аннексию Крыма продлятся до тех пор, пока полуостров снова не окажется под контролем Украины
