Парламент Израиля 26 декабря проголосовал за самороспуск. За принятие соответствующего закона выступили 102 из 120 депутатов Кнессета. Досрочные парламентские выборы назначены на 9 апреля, сообщает DW.

Со 2 января Кнессет Израиля уходит на «предвыборные каникулы». При этом правительство Биньямина Нетаньяху продолжит работать до тех пор, пока не будет сформирован новый кабинет.

Как сообщало EADaily, правящая коалиция Израиля 24 декабря объявила о роспуске парламента страны и проведении в апреле 2019 года досрочных выборов. Причиной роспуска Кнессета стали разногласия вокруг законопроекта о призыве на военную службу ультраортодоксальных евреев.

 
Напомним, в ноябре 2018 года, после заключения Израилем очередного перемирия с контролирующим сектор Газа палестинским движением ХАМАС, в отставку подал министр обороны еврейского государства Авигдор Либерман, лидер партии «Наш дом — Израиль». Тогда Нетаньяху ценой больших усилий удалось избежать развала коалиции и назначения досрочных парламентских выборов.

Очередные парламентские выборы в Израиле должны были состоятся в ноябре следующего года.
