Триразовий лауреат "Оскара" Олівер Стоун узявся за документальний фільм про Володимира Путіна, передає Life.

Знаменитий американський режисер має намір представити в картині "альтернативну точку зору" на російського президента і пов'язані з ним політичні події.

Стоун вже давно задумав цей проект - про свої плани він заявив ще в 2014 році. І режисера почули в Кремлі: ось уже рік Стоун супроводжує російського лідера, збираючи матеріали для кіно.

Олівер Стоун народився в Нью-Йорку в 1946 році. Його життєвий досвід позначився в таких картинах, як "Обличчя зі шрамом", "Взвод", "Джон Ф. Кеннеді. Постріли в Далласі", "Дорз", "Небо і земля", "Ніксон", "Природжені вбивці".

Стоун воював у В'єтнамі в 1967-1968 роках і має нагороди - Бронзову зірку і Пурпурове серце.

Він навчався мистецтву кінематографії в Нью-Йоркському університеті, де його вчителем був Мартін Скорсезе.

Режисерський дебют Стоуна відбувся в 1971 році - це була короткометражка "Останній рік у В'єтнамі".
